Getting Started as a Parent

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to the Squad sign-in page and click Sign Up. Select Parentas your role, then enter your name, email, and a secure password. If your coach sent you an invitation email, click the link in that email first — it will take you directly to the sign-up page with your team pre-linked.

Step 2: Add Your Children

After signing in, you'll land on your Parent Dashboard. Click Add Childand enter:

• Child's full name — as it should appear on the roster
• Year of birth — used for age group verification

You can add multiple children if they all play sports — each child has their own profile and can be on different teams.

Step 3: Accept Your Team Invitation

If your coach has already sent you an invite:

1. You'll see a Pending Invitation banner on your dashboard.
2. Click Accept and select which of your children is joining this team.
3. Your child is now on the roster and will appear in the coach's player list.

If you don't see an invitation, ask your coach to send one to the email address you used to sign up.

Step 4: Explore Your Dashboard

Your Parent Dashboard shows everything in one place:

• Upcoming Events — all practices and games for your child's teams, sorted by date
• RSVP buttons — confirm or decline each event directly from the dashboard
• Team Messages — the shared conversation between your coach and all team parents

If Your Child Plays on Multiple Teams

Each team invitation is accepted separately. If your child plays for two different coaches — for example a school team and a club team — you'll receive two invitations and each team will appear on your dashboard with its own schedule and message thread.

Keeping Your Details Up to Date

Your name and email address are visible to your coach. If you change your email or need to update your child's details, visit your account settings. Changes take effect immediately for all teams your child is part of.
