Guides/Live Game Scoring

For Coaches

Live Game Scoring

Post the score and play-by-play commentary during a game so families who can't be there can follow along. Coaches can let trusted parents keep score too.

Opening the Scoreboard

Every game on your team's schedule has a scoreboard. Open the game and the scoreboard shows your team's score, the opponent's score and the game status.

Keeping Score

  • Opponent name — set it once so the board reads clearly
  • Score — update your score and the opponent's as the game goes
  • Status — move the game from Scheduled to Live to Final
  • Commentary — post short updates ("Goal! 2-1 at half time"); you can delete a post if you make a mistake

Letting Someone Else Keep Score

Coaches aren't always free to update scores from the sideline. Use Manage scorers on the scoreboard to choose anyone on your team, a parent or another staff member, who can update the score and post commentary for that game. The head coach, assistant coaches, team managers and club managers can pick scorers, and remove them at any time.

Pick one or two scorers per game day so updates don't clash.

Following a Game

Coaches, staff and every family on the team can open the scoreboard from the game on their schedule to see the latest score and commentary.
